Here's what other parents have to say about the program

"Our daughter needed a fresh beginning. In her late 20's, after many life struggles, attempts to find 'her tracking', and a much waning sense of self-worth, she was fortunate to land at The Portland House. She says, 'this is exactly what I needed'. She has work to do, but no better solution has come our way- this is heaven sent."
- Diana B
Parent
"From the moment Sarah met our son, she understood him, with all his many, many complexities. With wisdom and love, she supports his needs while challenging him to use each day as a stepping stone to progress a bit further toward his desire for an independent life in the future. Other programs we have tried lacked Sarah’s experience and knowledge and we are so grateful for her program at The Portland House. The changes we see in our son are proof of her excellence!"
- W's Mom
"I cannot say enough good things about The Portland House, and Sarah Persha, in particular. Mentoring young adults is hard work; especially when that population often has "difficulties". Sarah is compassionate, understanding, empathetic, and knowledgeable. Her work with our son has greatly improved his outlook, opportunities, and self-management. She provides a solid sounding board for him and for us. We're very grateful Sarah has been (and continues to be) part of our family's experience and “village”.
—M, J’s dad
"After our adult son completed an intensive treatment program, The Portland House has been an excellent choice as an aftercare/launching community. Individualized, creative programming has been greatly appreciated and instrumental for success. Sarah and her team are professional, extremely caring and determined to move our son forward on his journey.”
—R, M’s Mother
